The Effects of Group Art Therapy on Children¡¯s Self-expression and Creativity

Abstract
This paper illustrates Group Art Therapy (GAT) and its effects on young children ¡¯s self-expression and creativity. This program was conducted with four children; among them, one attending a kindergarten in Daejeon who got permission from his or her parents. In the research conducted, the GA T program was designed for improving children' s self-expression and creativity, and it is composed of three steps. This research has shown us the fact that children¡¯s emotional stability and desire expression through art therapy affect their self expression and creativity. Therefore, this will be a basic resource to the children with a low level of self-expression and creativity.
